Lose 10 Pounds in 30 Days (continued)

Rewards:

You will be working really hard over the next few weeks and the most powerful way to stay

committed to your program throughout this time is to reward yourself regularly. Yes,

getting that sexy now body is reward in itself but giving yourself a weekly reward will be

even more effective. Try and make your rewards non food relatedlike buying yourself a new

pair of shoes or going to a day spa. However, remember you can only get these rewards if

you achieved your goal for that week.

Make it fun:

Unless you enjoy what you are doing, you

won't stick to it and your motivation won't last very long. Now how do you make something

like exercise fun? Well here are two ways for you to have a smile on your face while

walking to the gym for the next 30 days. Get a training buddy. Going through something

challenging like this for a long period is always easier when you doing it with someone.

Make sure you get someone that will hold you accountable for your actions and that will

push you to work harder and stay committed. The second way to make your workouts more fun

is to add variety. By mixing things up you will stay motivated and not get bored after a

few days of repeating the same thing over and over. Changing workouts around will also

give you better results as your body will have to adapt to new exercise all the time.

Accept failure:

"WHAT??? I am not accepting failure; I

am going to give it all until I lose my 10 pounds", I hear you say. If you can do

that, then well done and go for it. The truth is that most of us will have to attend a

meeting here and there, maybe go to a birthday party or just want to have a nice meal

every now and then. Now when you get into a situation like this and you had something

wrong to eat, don't be too hard on yourself. Just enjoy it and then get back on with your

program the very next meal. By putting yourself down about what you did wrong, will have a

far worse long term effect on your results than just accepting that you did something

wrong and then continue with your program.

Be prepared:

From all the principals, workout and eating plan information I will give you in this

article, this is probably the most important actions you can take to increase you chances

of success dramatically. Being prepared will eliminate many stumbling blocks that could

keep you from succeeding and losing 1 pound of body fat every 3 days. Let me tell you a

little story of what used to happen to me and I am sure to many of you as well, before I

started to implement this principal in my life and weight loss quests. I would set a goal

of wanting to go to gym in the morning at 5AM. I would then do nothing until I wake up. So

then I start to search for my trainers, 10 minutes later I find them only to start looking

for my gym bag and heart rate monitor. Once that was found I would not be able to find a

dry towel and then I haven't even started getting some pre workout food ready. Soon it was

30min's later and too late to go to the gym. So what did I do? Just got back into bed for

an extra 20min's of sleep and then got ready for work. Now if on the other hand I had my

gym bag ready and packed the previous evening, all I would have had to do was pick it up

and go to gym when I woke up. See being prepared in every aspect of this plan, from your

eating plan to workout program will make it easier for you to become successful. It might

require a bit of work and getting used to, but once you have the momentum of just being

prepared your results will be a much better and you will reach your goals faster.

Visualize:

Before you can achieve it, you must see it. This very powerful tool teaches our brains and

subconscious mind to look for opportunities making our dreams reality. Every morning

before you rise from bed and every evening before you retire, use ten undisturbed

dedicated minutes of your time to dream about your perfect body and ultimate life. See

every aspect of your new body, chisel and carve your new form from those washboard abs to

that small rounded bum. Another great time to visualize is while warming up at the gym or

during your stretching sessions. The more you see it in your mind's eye, the more it

becomes your new reality.

Monitor Your Results:

This is probably one of the most important principals when it comes to knowing if you are

on the right track and if your workout program is working for you. It is absolutely vital

that you monitor your results and also make sure you test your fitness every 3 to 4 weeks.

Evaluate Your Progress

Enlist the help of a fitness professional

to evaluate your progress. Knowing what effect your training has on your fat, muscle and

weight levels assists you in your quest. These measurements can be taken every two weeks.

Using a training diary or log book is an excellent means of monitoring your progress. You

can document your training dates, workout routines and weights used. A diary and regular

evaluations will show you exactly how well you are doing and this can be a great

motivator. It will also assist you to make the necessary changes if needed, as you can see

where your faults may lie.

Adhering to the principles above will not just keep you motivated but help you get results

quicker. In part two we are going to start looking at the exercise part of the powerful

system that allows you to lose 10lbs in just 30 days!
